I have been going to La Buca for 20 years. There is a reason I keep coming back. Food is fantastic traditional Italian and they also have gluten free options. Thanks again LaBuca
Great space, great meal super nice service.
I love La Buca. The food is always delicious. Always a pleasure 💕 7/8/20 Update: I'm so grateful that outdoor dining is available. I've been dying to get out of the house. I stand by my original post. I love La Buca. Normally I skip out on dessert but the limoncello cake is a MUST. I was introduced to a new favorite on the menu during my last visit. The veggie meatballs are amazing and I recommend 100%
The food was delicious and the staff was extra friendly and professional. I would dine again!!
Great food, amazing atmosphere and the service was exceptional!
Excellent spot to have some food when in a hurry. The customer service is rapid, rates are affordable, great mood. I highly recommend this spot.
Amazing food and service!
Always great food; pasta chef's special delicious.
Great italian restaurant in Philadelphia
Surprisingly mediocre. The food tasted fairly bland, and, frankly, was hideously overpriced for the quality and quantity. The restaurant itself has a very nice atmosphere - almost secretly cavernous - and the wines are fairly well-priced, as a matter of fact (including the glorious Super Tuscan Carpineto Dogojolo). I ordered pasta primavera, and the vegetables tasted very simple and unseasoned, as did the pasta. The calamari was passable, but, again, small in quantity; the mozzarella and tomato were extremely plain, as if store-bought. In all honesty I wouldn't return there: a dinner that tasted like that shouldn't have cost me $150. Service was great, no issues there.
Very tasty veal. Great Ceaser salad. Stale bread.
Always a wonderful meal before shows at the Walnut Theatre
Very pleasant atmosphere
Hidden jam. Great waiter, Michael.
We found this gem as we wanted a place to have dinner before the show. It is definitely a well kept secret. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We chose to sit at the bar, Kathy was our bar tender/waitress. Everyone who came in, knew everyone. It is a local hang out. The food was good, and we met quite a few people. I would definitely go back!
Tom was incredible amazing place great food
We celebrated the Flyers wining (6-1) at La Buca & we were welcomed to a warm, inviting & very personable atmosphere. Loved the dishes & the authentic taste. The desserts were delectable & YUM! A must visit!!
This restaurant and the food was absolutely gorgeous and delicious. The server Thomas we had though unfortunately was horrible. We are a younger couple and the second we mentioned we had a Groupon he was extremely rude. Once we finished and Thomas brought our bill out he showed us the original receipt before the Groupon and told us to make sure we used that for gratuity and said he’s been burned before. I will never go there again because of his horrible customer service and treatment.
Fabulous!!!! Great ambiance!!!! Good food and drinks!! Very nice bartender and manager!!!!
Great atmosphere, aervice, food , easy to get to.
A top place for delicious italian food. Had a friend come into town and she asked me to take her here again. Similar to a cafe in Las Vegas I loved.
Excellent location for Italian food. Service is typically good. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Food is similar to a place in San Francisco I loved.
One of my favorite spots for tasty italian food.
I thought I was back in Italy! Alfredo suggested the ravioli topped with fresh crabmeat - delicious and finished with freshly made rum cake - incredible. The setting was intimate and old world. Loved it!
Love the ambiance.
Very nice staff. Great service. The food was amazingly delicious.
Great food
Saturday was our first time at this particular spot but definitely won't be our last! Located on a quiet short stretch of Locust St, there is on street and garage parking nearby. The atmosphere and menu are geared to adults and older children, the staff were friendly and efficient, the bar area was quiet but picked up after 7. The food was great, good size portions and not overloaded with pasta. My partner had the filet which was cooked perfectly. There was no of being rushed either. Prices are a bit more than what you would see in a suburban chain place, but the food was individually prepared and very much worth it. We watched a waiter do a table - side prep of a fish dish.
Some of the best Italian I have ever had.
Always, always fabulous food & service.
Great food and service
Food was not worth the price! Atmosphere was old and outdated. Drinks very expensive! However the waiter was good. Was very disappointed with food. Would have done better going to Olive Garden!
Lovely place enjoyed the food
Very intimate setting, prompt service and excellent food!
Food was good but a bit over priced. Drinks were over priced
Very nice
Food was good, prices were a little on the higher side for value I feel.
For a fine dining restaurant of your caliber, you should have a better non-alcoholic beer besides ODOULS maybe KALIBER! Anyway, food good though it came out slowly not any fault of the servers.
Food is okay. Service is ok. Oyt waitress is so nice. Price is affordable.
Great Basil pasta!
Very good food
Great atmosphere
Excellent meal, traditional but tasty!
This restaurant is good, waiter is friendly and attentive, and food is nice. Tips: (a) better call to make reservation. (b) Avoid days that they have private parties, in those days master chef is occupied with party stuff.
Good food. Friendly staff.
I hadn't been to La Buca in a very long time. So, it was very nice to reacquaint myself with this lovely Italian restaurant. I am definitely going to add it into my restaurant rotation for the future. The service was exceptional. And the food fantastic, freshly prepared and delicious. Definitely looking forward to my next visit. We each had the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. The pan-seared scallops and stuffed calamari were done to perfection.
Great location in the city. Kind of an unusual basement set up. The food is okay Italian, nothing special. The staff is attentive. A bit overpriced for the dated atmosphere and what you get though. All that said, you can have a drink in an intimate space where you could have a conversation at an ample bar which never seems full. The real draw: it's a neighborhood place for locals who have too much $$ and don't want to travel more than a few blocks for a meal.
Great place nice and quiet. Fantastic food at a good price.
Ristorante La Buca is great for dinner celebrations and intimate dining. Reservations are highly recommended. Service was good. We enjoyed a three course meal. Serving size is a good portion.
They are improving after the owner died, but still not back to the award winning meals they used to serve, great ambiance
